Eight CMS engineers deployed on site and vessels have completed a 5-day training course on MTU engine maintenance organized by Rolls-Royce Solutions Benelux from 18 to 22 April 2022. The training is to develop technical knowledge and skills of employees to maintenance and repair of MTU engine. Trainees have learned engine design and function as well how to identify and rectify minor faults and how to perform maintenance tasks as per MTU instructions. The training course program also contains handling of documentation; explanation of oil, fuel, etc. systems; explanation of the fluids and lubricants specification; troubleshooting; execution of preventive maintenance (QL1) and replacement of the subassemblies (QL2); basic introduction to the engine management system. Such training courses will, hopefully, help CMS engineers become more experienced in finding out occurred problems and try to solve them without involving professionals from abroad.
