CMS at METSTRADE Show in Amsterdam

Updated: Dec 30, 2022

From 15 to 17 November 2022, the METSTRADE Show, the world’s largest trade exhibition of marine equipment, materials, and systems, held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, welcomed thousands of industry professionals gathering from across the globe for meetings, researching, networking and much-missed socializing. This event is the only truly international B2B exhibition for the marine leisure industry and has served as a platform for innovation, market developments and networking since its launch in 1988. Organized by RAI Amsterdam in association with ICOMIA (International Council of Marine Industry Associations), it includes three dedicated areas of expertise: the Super Yacht Pavilion, the Marina & Yard Pavilion, and the Construction Material Pavilion. In addition to the overall leisure marine industry, the exhibition caters for three specialist sectors, namely Superyachts, Marinas and Yards and Construction materials. The METSTRADE show is the world's largest trade exhibition of equipment, materials, and systems for the international marine industry. METSTRADE 2022 showcased a total of 1,400 exhibitors from 49 countries across 10 halls at Amsterdam RAI covering every facet of marine equipment, systems, and materials.

Three busy days over 15-17 November at RAI Amsterdam saw 26,480 visits registered by 17,417 unique visitors spanning 126 nationalities, accompanied by 6,175 exhibitor personnel.

CMS representatives had series of meetings with exhibition participants/supply companies and discussed future prospective of cooperation. The aim of the visit was to check new products and innovations in the marine sphere, which is hard to do being online all time. There were represented hundreds of companies collected in one location and in the same pavilions, segregated by the specializations of the companies and countries. CMS reps had productive meetings with the new companies. CMS procurement team also got a chance to communicate with the companies with whom there have been cooperation for a long time and discussed the ways how improve terms and conditions in future. Taking into consideration the long pandemic COVID situation, it was a good possibility to increase the list of the approved vendors and get awareness of the existence of new companies and innovations to use them for future projects. Such interactions are vitally important for each business as via face-to-face negotiations companies can find new suppliers and connections.
