Vessel Specific Characteristics

CMS Shah and CMS Deniz are general cargo vessels with adjustable height bridge decks so that the air daft can be reduced if necessary, i.e. “Rhine” type vessels. The vessels were constructed in Hull, UK. The main holds are box shaped with vertical sides, each has a capacity of 2837 m3, and each can be sub divided by utilizing 2 x moveable bulkheads. Cargo up to a maximum of 4.28 t/m2 can be loaded on the hold in a bottom and additional cargo can be loaded on the hatch covers up to 1.5 t/m2. The hatch covers are chain pulled MacGregor type hatches, each made up of 16 sections, 8 being stowing forward and 8 aft.
